The Paraguayan National Committee of ICOLD hosted over 100 representatives from countries in the Americas, at a Seminar in Ciudad del Este, November 6-7, 2019. INCA President Luis Vellacich and his colleagues at ITAIPU Binacional delivered an excellent program of technical papers, a tour of the impressive ITAIPU hydroelectric project, and a banquet featuring Paraguayan hospitality.
The INCA Board held a meeting attended by representatives from 12 countries, as well as ICOLD Secretary General Michel DeVivo, and Felipe Lazaro from the World Bank. In particular, we were happy to welcome delegates from El Salvador, Honduras, and Venezuela, who have not been able to attend recent INCA events. Notes from the meeting are attached here.
